Upsidedown Society

The American Society is upsidedown with its morals. I read that a man in Kingsport could be facing jail time over a chicken, a chicken, the same animal we eat every single day, something about he didnt water them properly. Also, people facing time over dog abuse and horse abuse, this all the while we turn our heads to the countless innocent lives that are ripped from women's wombs every single day. The first person I catch checking on the condition of my chickens won't have to worry about me serving time over their well being, I'll being serving time alright, but for a crime of greater nature. And before someone says, well its animal abuse and they should pay, thats correct they should have to pay, a fine not jail time. When a person kills a deer out of season he doesnt go to jail, he is fined and hunting privledges are provoked. Its an animal, some people need to visit egg farms, pig farms, and beef farms, I bet some of you wouldnt eat any more meat or eggs, guaranteed.

yeah i agree with the whole abuse thing it really is pointless goin to jail, he should have to pay a fine..not go to jail*--

this lil' kid got in trouble at the fair for kickin a chicken...and punching it and stuff..he stole it out of the farm thang and took it home with him...this was after the rides had shut down, and everything...it was like 12 and everyone was gone but a few ppl and we saw that lil' kid get in trouble..which he should have, cus he was kickin the poor thing...and the kid was at least 14..i mean he should have known better i reckon

animal abuse should = jail time, yes I believe that.
You tie a dog up to a tree, let it starve and thirst till it dies you should have to pay more than a fine.
people out here just letting so called pets die because they are too sorry to care for them most of the time point's to even more probelms that they have.
just like children who abuse animals at a young age often grow up to commit violent and abusive crimes.

the difference in this thinking is that the dear wasn't tourtered and abused. It wasn't starved, deprived of water made to suffer. It was shot, maybe ran a few yards and died. It wasn't a prolonged suffering for months.
I can't stand to watch animal planet when the ASPCA is on because the cases they have to investigate sometimes just.........I can't watch that crap, how people can act like that with children and pest is beyond me.

I'm sure you wouldn't think that if you were an animal though. Cruelty to animals shows a lack of regard for suffering, so why should one believe that the same lack of regard for suffering wouldn't extend to a human? Those who abuse animals are in many cases likely to do the same to humans. Now, equating hunting and cruelty to animals is a flaw in logic. Ideally, hunters kill their prey for food and they do so in a timely and sanctioned manner. One would hope that it isn't done for the sake of causing prolonged suffering. If I had to pick, I'd rather face a bullet than starve or thirst to death... Those who abuse animals should go to jail; it's illegal, and it's irresponsible.

Most people equate humans with animals, figures in this society, keep turning your head to abortion clinics and cry when the chickens arent watered, sick ass society for sure.

Unclear what sentence you were trying to write, but a "sick" society is one that does not seek to end suffering a misery. Sure, you can make a case for the life of an unborn child; I've no argument with that. My point is that it is a bit ironic that many who claim to value life don't seem to apply that value across the board. Consider where the sickness begins. Tolerating animal cruelty is a sign of a sick society. If one turns a blind eye to the defenseless (regardless of who or what "defenseless" is) then who is the sick person? I for one don't think society is sick as a whole. There are elements that are quite sick, but I believe in the overall good of mankind. Betterment starts with self...

Our Society as a whole is getting worse every year IMO. I don't agree with starving or making any animal, human thirst to death. But this chicken thing is a little out of hand. Ok if the court system wants to fine a man for starving his chickens, but at the same time why not put all this money and energy in all these abortion clinics across our country. This govt. is allowing human BABIES to be put to death everyday and turn their blind eye to this. Then turn around and act like they care for a life of a chicken. When rights are taken away from the life of an unborn child and given to the life of a chicken then yeah we can say our society is sick. I say fine them all and put in jail all those who disregard life in any way, fashion or form.
